Buildings We Saved
Since 2001
In 2001, working closely with North Cornwall District Council, we completed the renovation of a town house at 20 Lower Bore Street, Bodmin. From 2008-2013, the Trust partnered with The Prince’s Regeneration Trust to restore Old Duchy Palace in Lostwithiel. We also assisted Cornwall Council with an Options Appraisal for the conversion of Loggan’s Mill, Hayle.
1975 – 2000
During the Trust’s early years, between 1975 and 2000, it carried out successive projects to restore and convert disused or derelict cottages and town houses into useable housing. All are Listed Buildings or situated in Conservation Areas.
1-3 Buttermarket, Church Street, Tywardreath, Par, previously used as a police station, was converted to three flats.
Gothic House, I Leskinnick Place, Penzance
The former Rashleigh Almshouses at Polmear, Par, were converted to three cottages.
1-2 Dunstanville Terrace, Greenbank, Falmouth
Two other early projects were the conversion of the Old Court House, Maiden Street, Stratton, into two semi-detached houses, and the restoration of 4 two-roomed cottages at 60-66 Falmouth Road, Redruth, in partnership with a local building firm.
